Hundreds of volunteers worked to make an impact during United Way's 2008 Day of Caring ....
More than 600 volunteers throughout Ventura County, including individuals and corporate groups, tackled 27 community service projects during United Way’s annual Day of Caring volunteer event. This year Day of Caring took place on two days — September 25 and 27.
One of the largest volunteer efforts in Ventura County, Day of Caring generated nearly $50,000 in donated labor at nonprofit organizations and parks across Ventura County.
United Way of Ventura County would like to offer a special thanks to all Day of Caring volunteers for contributing their time and talents during the 2008 Day of Caring event by demonstrating that by working together, we can accomplish more than any single group can do on its own.
